Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri stressed that "the decision to escalate on the northern front of occupied Palestine is with the Israelis, not in Lebanon. What the resistance is doing on the border comes in a natural context of the existence of occupied Lebanese lands, where the enemy is being targeted, even if the matter is related to Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa and the war on Gaza."
Berri pointed out in a speech to his visitors that "all operations fall within the rules of engagement, and if the Israelis want to expand the operation, we are ready for that."
