The social networking application WhatsApp has added a self-destructing feature for voice messages, so that the recipient cannot listen to the message more than once or keep it, with the aim of increasing security elements for users who do not want to pass their voice message records to any other users.
Voice messages on WhatsApp can currently be kept by the recipient forever, and can be resent to other users without the sender knowing.
It is noteworthy that the WhatsApp application, owned by the American company Meta Platforms, has allowed since 2021 the ability to hide photos and videos that are sent automatically, as the application currently provides the option to “Show this voice message once” to users.
