A gunman opened fire on a university campus in central Prague on Thursday afternoon, killing at least 14 people and wounding 25 others, 10 of them seriously, Czech police said.
The shooter, who is believed to have been a university student who killed his father a short time ago, was killed and was wanted by police, but has yet to be formally identified.
The suspected perpetrator is believed to have been driven to action abroad. It is believed to be the worst armed attack in the history of the Czech Republic, which gained independence in 1993.
