Canada to grant temporary visas to Gaza residents who are relatives of its citizens

Canada's Immigration Minister Mark Miller announced Thursday that Canada will establish an immigration program starting next January that will allow residents of the Gaza Strip who have Canadian relatives to apply for a temporary visa.

The minister told reporters that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government will grant a three-year temporary residence permit to anyone who wants to leave the Gaza Strip and is related to a Canadian citizen (spouse, child, grandchild, sibling, parent or grandparent).
