"Floating Hospital" to Arrive in Gaza in Two Days

The French amphibious helicopter carrier "Tonnerre" will arrive in the area of operations near the Gaza Strip within two days, after French President Emmanuel Macron announced from Cairo that this floating hospital would be sent to the coast of Gaza with the aim of helping hospitals.

Tonnerre is one of three amphibious helicopter carriers in the French Navy that can carry out crisis management operations, as it contains two operating rooms, an X-ray room, a scanner, four resuscitation beds and more than 60 beds, the equivalent of a medical center in a city with a population of 25,000.

It can also carry dozens of helicopters that can carry out strikes or surveillance operations.
